Individual
One-on-one therapy for people ages 13 and up. Whether you’re unsure of where to begin, or you have a specific topic you’re hoping to work through, in this work we’ll navigate together to get you back to living a full life.

Couples
Relationships of all shapes and sizes are welcome. Relationships change naturally over time which can create conflict, boredom, or lead to infidelity. Whether you’re looking to figure out a path forward or navigate a certain circumstance, I will help you learn skills to communicate better, identify goals, and decide on a path forward. I have experience working with queer, gender expansive, and consensually non-monogamous couples and pods.

ADHD Coaching
This is a new service I’m offering to help you work through tools and ideas to manage an thrive as an ADHDer. Coaching is not therapy; we won’t deep dive into your past but will focus on present-day tools you can implement to operate better in a world not built for people with neurodiversity.

Career coaching is an opportunity to address current frustrations and uncertainty in your career (or lack thereof!). Together, we’ll make a game plan for you. Topics include career changes, burnout, current abuse in the workplace, identity processing, purpose, and more.

ADHD
Have you been diagnosed with ADHD? Do you suspect you might have it? ADHD is a complicated and unique lived experience for those trying their best to function in a neurotypical world. This work requires unpacking your past and the ways in which ADHD has affected your life, as well as learning coping skills and creating a space for self-discovery, strengths, and cultivating joy for your present and future.

Anxiety
Generally speaking, anxiety is a feeling of fear, dread, and uneasiness. Oftentimes there are physical symptoms associated with anxiety that we might not even realize are correlated; tight chest, dizziness, restlessness, irritability, overworking ourselves, to name a few. Anxiety is one way the body responds to overwhelm or threat, and oftentimes in Western culture is perpetuated as an acceptable state of being. In our work, we’ll discover how anxiety is and isn’t serving you, and find ways to calm your nervous system that make a real impact.

Attachment
Do you overreact or feel helpless when a romantic interest suddenly ghosts you, or breaks up with you? When dating, after a few weeks do you suddenly and seemingly randomly get “the ick” for the person you’re seeing? You may have attachment trauma. Attachment is an emotional bond with another person. In psychology, attachment theory hypothesizes that humans emotionally connect with others based on the care they received as infants. This is one of my favorite areas to treat!

Body Image
Our view of our bodies is complicated because it’s dictated by many overt as well as subtle narratives that we’ve absorbed over our lifetime. Eating disorders, body dysmorphia, gender dysphoria, fatphobia, binge eating, over exercising, all these topics are ways that we experience our body in the world. I take a Health At Every Size approach, and understand that our opinions of our bodies can be intense and an uncomfortable topic filled with shame. It can take time to unravel the years of self-hatred. If you’re committed to deconstructing the deeply engrained narratives of size oppression, then I’m here for you.

Burnout
Similar to anxiety, burnout can be linked to a number of different sources, but ultimately stems from situations where we lack power and don’t feel rewarded for our efforts. Work, home life, relationships — all these areas are natural to sometimes feel burnt out — but when it is constant or we have felt waves of this for a long time, it’s time to seek help to face the deeper issue and seek a way out.

Career Issues
Similar to what is noted above, this work is for individuals experiencing burnout, identity loss due to loss of passion at work, job loss, bullying and abuse at work, and interpersonal skills in the office. Career is a topic that many feel relates to their identity, and it can be extremely jarring when we feel out of line with our calling. Thought I specialize tech industry issues, I am not limited to this work force. If you’re looking to discover or rediscover your work identity, this is the place.

Depression
Depression is a persistent feeling of sadness or loss of interest in daily life. Depression is an interesting human experience because it can present itself in different ways. You might feel sad and cry, or you may lack energy and not be able to cry at all. You may need more sleep, or you may have trouble with sleeping. See what I’m getting at here? Overall, depression can be acute (i.e. caused by a certain event like loss) or it can be chronic and you may not even realize why you became this way in the first place. Depression is one way the body responds to overwhelm or threat. By starting from a place of understanding and compassion, I find that clients are able to then operate from a place of change for the positive.

Family Conflict
“Our families push our buttons because they’re the ones who installed them” is a joke I heard a few years ago and it really resonated with me. Family conflict topics can mean individually unpacking your Family of Origin (the environment you were raised in), generational trauma, dealing with a present moment family conflict or dispute, or working to solve communication issues together.

Identity
Identity is the most common topic that threads through my work with all clients because I truly believe it is essential to our mental wellness. When we understand and accept ourselves, when we can know and express our values; this is freedom and liberation. With my clients, identity can look like exploration, discovery, processing, and acceptance. Many of my clients say they feel lost or like they don’t know who they are and our work is about helping them find an answer. In other work, it’s about setting boundaries, reclaiming power, finding ways to communicate and operate in their world, and finding avenues for expression. I carry many identities myself, and work with 2SLGBTQIA+, queer, trans, and gender expansive folks. I also work with people who feel they’ve lost their sense of identity following grief or loss.

Life Transitions
Are you having trouble adjusting to recent changes in your life? Job loss, divorce, miscarriage, friendship breakups, graduating from college, losing a loved one, moving, surviving a pandemic. These are all examples of huge changes in our lives that often result in mental health struggles. In this work, I’ve found that my role is to show up as someone who can hold space and provide a container for the big emotions that come up. On the more practical side, this might look like collaborating to come up with a plan for your future.

Relationship Issues
As mentioned above, relationships change naturally over time which can create issues. I define relationship work as inclusive of peer relationships, family relationships, romantic relationships, etc. Any interpersonal relationship where you’re seeking communication skills, boundary setting skills, emotion regulation tools, and the commitment to better understanding and healthier relationships.

Religious Trauma
Religious trauma is just as complex as other traumas, but it is different because it involves not only your view of yourself and how you exist in the world, but also after. Whether you’re detaching from what may have been a harmful belief system, trying to bargain with how to be faithful in a way that feels like you can still be you, or angry about abuse you may have experienced, there’s no wrong answer or shame in our time together. This is an area I’m deeply familiar with personally and professionally, I find that part of my value as a therapist comes from letting my clients know they are not alone in their experience.

Trauma
People often categorize trauma as “Big T” trauma or “Little t” trauma, meaning some things are more worthy of the title Trauma than others, but this isn’t true. Trauma isn’t what happens to us but how our body and mind process it. Trauma is deep work and takes a lot of safety and time to unpack. Whatever stage in your healing you’re at, my goal is to honor that. My approach is to not rush or judge you for how you show up day by day in therapy, but to sit with you and gently broach subjects as they come up. Additionally, I utilize Internal Family Systems as my primary theoretical orientation when working with trauma, I’ve found that clients typically respond well to this approach and it reduces the shame and heaviness that is often blended with trauma.
